Current Research

Imposter Phenomenon

 

Imposter phenomenon (commonly referred to as imposter syndrome) effects young professionals and students alike. We want to learn how to mediate some of its debilitating effects. Click here for more information about how to take part.  

  1. 18 years of age or older

  2. Male or female

  3. Either currently working towards a/working as a:

           - Masters, PhD, or doctoral-level degree (e.g., DClinPsy) 

           - Medical degree (following pre-clinical training)

           - Junior Doctor (within 3 years of graduation)

           - Any other graduate job (within 3 years of graduating) 

  1. Have a diagnosed anxiety- or depression-related disorder

Ikigai

Ikigai is a Japanese concept thought to reflect one's purpose and/or meaning of life. We want to know whether this manifests differently in the UK and Japan. Click here for more information about how to take part.  

  1. 18 years of age or older

  2. Male or female

  3. UK-based

  1. Have a diagnosed psychiatric, affective, or neurological disorder. 

Student-led Research

Relationship Judgements

People may view ambiguous situations differently. We want to understand how relationship-based judgements vary depending on personality and past experiences. Click here for information about how to take part.

Help-Seeking Behaviour

When we suffer from poor/low mental health, it is important to reach out for help. We are interested in observing how 'masculinity' in males impacts our help-seeking behaviour. Click here for more information about how to take part.
