Dean Fido, PhD.
who i am
I am a lecturer in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Derby. I wrote my PhD at Nottingham Trent University on electrophysiological indices of callous-unemotional and aggressive traits, and completed four years of post-doctoral training at the University of Oxford (Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging).
My primary areas of research are the darker personalities - namely psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and narcissism - and my over-arching research aim is to better understand how these traits might be used to bring about success in academia, work, and interpersonal relationships. This website houses my opinion of key literature within this field, blogs pertaining to my experiences and interests, and as well as offering brief summaries of my own research contributions, offers you a chance to take part in ongoing research.
Please see below links to my previous and submitted publications, my ongoing research interests, and opportunities to take part in upcoming research studies being ran by myself and my students.
